Every generation of people from the time of Adam’s fall to the present have been confronted with the problem of human suffering. Medical science has performed apparent miracles in helping to alleviate sickness and disease and to restore physical health. Still there are those who suffer and seemingly get no relief. My desire in this book is to introduce the reader to Jesus, the greatest of all physicians, who is revealed in the Bible as the master of every sickness and disease. The sufferer needs to become acquainted with Him. Doubtless there are many good Christian people who are serving God to the best of their ability, but yet are living far below their privileges in the Lord. Many are lying on beds of affliction; others are going about, carrying with them certain sicknesses and diseases, when it is God’s will that they be healed and have well, strong, and normal bodies. Dr. E. Stanley Jones, in his book, The Christ of the American Road, states that one of the hesitations of American Christianity is that “the power of the Christian faith has not been made available for bodily health to the ordinary, regular members of our churches.”
It is hoped that these Divine Healing messages will assist the sufferer in building up the faith necessary to appropriate God’s healing in his own behalf.
