Life in the Church

Read through these pages and you will find the heart, mind, and soul of a teacher who trusted the powerful narratives of the church and the Lord of the church to inform his own journey. You will find, if you also read between the lines, one who sought to connect our heritage, our Scripture, our lives, and our God in meaningful relationship, and you will discover the journey of a son of the church and a follower after its Lord.

While the editorials in this book were written over several years, while you will find dated references and persons no longer with us, when you read these pages and connect with the heart and mind behind the words and invite the Holy Spirit to open your eyes, you will see the church afresh and new. Perhaps something very good and wonderful will come – a true renaissance of the Spirit and Truth of a reformation that sometimes feels dangerously near to losing its soul.
