Lord It's Late but I Can't Sleep

Lord It's Late But I Can't Sleep gives us a peek into the mind of missionaries all across the world. These meditations are filled with humor, hope, heartache, and heroism. We will read of the unexpected and embarrassing slips of the tongue that are so common in language study. We are touched by the story of a child's healing. We are overcome with pitiful cries of hungry children. The wrenching pain of parting is also a part of the story. Rejoicing as people understand the gospel for the first time and as young churches grow and mature makes us feel near the  mission field as we read this book. 

Dorothy Nicholson's intimate involvement with Anderson College and its emphasis on international experience has taken her around the world to work and share with  missionaries in many settings. Much of her travel has been in Asia - but whether she is sharing her thoughts from Asia or a conversation with a missionary from South America, she has captured windows of time and experience that allow us to step with her on mission fields around the world. Dorothy lives in Anderson, Indiana, where her husband is president of Anderson College.
