Miracle of Survival is the story of the founding and later development of the publishing enterprise of the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana). The reader is led from the birth of D. S. Warner's Gospel Trumpet on 1 January 1881 to the emergence of a significant Christian publishing company, Warner Press, Inc. The early years of the publishing venture were extremely precarious. Only the tenacity and self-sacrifice of Warner and his early followers enabled the Gospel Trumpet to survive--hence the title, Miracle of Survival.
The book is well-written. Harold Phillips, the author, spent over 40 years with Warner Press and for 26 years was editor of Vital Christianity (successor to the Gospel Trumpet)--a survival story all by itself! ... it is a valuable addition to the history of American religious publishing
