Over the span of years the “Christian Brotherhood Hour” has sought a “United Church for a Divided World.” As a venture of faith, Dr. W. Dale Oldham became the first speaker on the International Voice of the Church of God in 1947. Over the years, Dr. Oldham’s outstanding preaching brought worldwide recognition to the program for excellence in content and performance. The program came to be recognized as one of the finest religious broadcasts on radio and eventually was carried on 330 stations, many on a sustained basis, further recognition of its quality.
In 1968 after Dr. Oldham had served twenty-one years, Dr. R. Eugene Sterner became speaker. He was soon recognized internationally for his ability to focus quickly on the subject of the hour and speak directly to it. During this time the program enlarged its outreach to 382 stations around the world.
Dr. James Earl Massey was elected to the position as CBH speaker in 1977 following a distinguished career as pastor and campus minister. He has brought additional recognition to the program now heard on over 395 stations. His insightful sermons are delivered with authority and personal application. Dr. Massey is also active as advisor to a magazine for leaders and is in wide demand as a conference leader and speaker.
This volume contains eight carefully selected sermons from each of these three speakers and covers a wide variety of subjects. You will find helps for personal living, knowing God’s will, knowing Jesus, discovering the Holy Spirit, recognizing the work of the church, and much more.
