The New Testament Standard of Christian Unity

The problem of this study is to ascertain the New Testament standard of Christian unity. As one enters into this field, he finds an aggregation of movements for unity working in the United States and in other countries. And there are perhaps two score of international and world bodies of one form or another laboring for Christian unity. Various types of literature on the subject have now become so multiform that only a specialist could acquaint himself with all phases of contemporary thought.

This work will omit any description of the evils of disunity, as many volumes have already been written which describe them with clarity, logic, and persuasion. The great question at issue now is to discover the form of unity that is practicable and successful to meet the present needs of a divided Christian church. This is the quest which engages attention in this study.
